When you factor in that wind 1020 up to around 30 MPH at times, it feels like 17 from Hempstead to Uniondale 19 Glen Cove 20 in Smithtown 20 we had 25 over towards Montauk. So it's a cold start your morning around s at four today. Lots of sunshine this morning. Some clouds come in during the afternoon and temperatures only in the upper thirties. That's it. It's a cold day here on Long Island. Typical, average high for today is 49 degrees. So 10 degrees below average sunshine this morning, you'll notice a few clouds coming in during your afternoon but otherwise dry conditions. A big story. Everyone's talking about the cold weather, stay warm today. How about the gloves, the hat and a scarf. If you're going to be outside for a prolonged period of time, we have a hyperlocal high of around 39 degrees breezy and cold sunshine with a few clouds coming in during your afternoon hours. Temperatures in the twenties to start today, mid and upper forties for your Thursday afternoon before we track that rain going towards Friday evening and it's gone by your Saturday.
