The Black Lives Matter movement on Long Island rallied Saturday in solidarity with those who have lost their lives to brutality and the use of force by police.
Demonstrators rallied by Eisenhower Park in East Meadow Saturday. Attendees marched and brainstormed about solutions to stop police brutality against African-Americans across the country.
"This isn't an anti-cop rally. This is not an anti-cop protest. But we are here to have our voices heard to find solutions so this doesn't happen again because nothing seems to be changing, it's just getting worse," one demonstrator said.
Another Black Lives Matter protest and march is set to take place Sunday in Riverhead.
