For a New Hyde Park woman, Mother?s Day was bittersweet, but a blessing she received last week is helping her cope.

Shiby Trigy says her son, Shibu, is a wonderful gift who arrived when she needed him most after her brother drowned a month ago.

?I actually lost my brother a month ago. So ? that's why we named [the baby] after [my brother],? says Trigy. ?He's very precious to us because he's been the one that my parents are coping with this, all because of him - and we are too. So it's very special.?

Shibu, who was born May 8, spent Mother's Day with his parents and grandparents at North Shore-LIJ and is expected to leave the hospital Monday.
