People on the East End are remembering a well-known restaurant owner who passed away over the weekend. Bill Claudio was a co-owner of Claudio's Restaurant in Greenport. Up until it was sold last year, Claudio's was billed as the oldest family-run restaurant in the country, opening in 1870. Claudio was also an Air Force fighter pilot who flew more than 200 combat missions. He was 81 years old.

Thanks, Nadia. Ok. Look outside that page 57. The birds are flying really fast with that upper level wind. We're going to make our way to gusts up to 40 MPH as we close off the evening tonight. Some gusts 45 maybe as high as 5560 MPH out there in Suffolk County. And yes, we do have the thunderstorm icon because we have rumbles of thunder happening with some of this rain as well. Look at 4 p.m. Temperatures are actually climbing as the sun. It's ready to set to about 60. The wind is starting to pick up and it's kind of just steady around 30 MPH. This wind gusting at times up to 40 for the evening. There'll be a little bit of a break. I would say around 6 to 8 o'clock or so where there is some rain, but the really pouring kind of wet kind of weather that pushes over us. I'd say 89 o'clock tonight, all the way through your overnight temperatures will cr behind this. Look at this front, this is the gust front that we're watching really intense wind by three o'clock or so, it's past Nassau County. So it's before three o'clock for Nassau in Western Suffolk. And then the temperature just plummets from sixties to forties almost instantly while you're sleeping tonight. So, let's show you the hour by hour. We have a south wind coming in all the way through. 10 o'clock. Hempstead gets hit by that front at about 20 mile per hour. Winds gusts up to 40 then the wind shifts to the north and it's gonna be breezy all day on Monday. Riverhead. Look at how much longer you are in those sustained winds of 30 MPH coming in from the southwest until 3 a.m. Then wind turns to the north that front passes through. Here's what the wind gust looks like at 10 p.m. About 40 MPH. We do have that red indicating 50 mile per hour winds around midnight and then it pushes out. Now, the worst of it is gonna be east of Islip in Nassau County. Your risk for wind is lower but you do still have that flood risk as well. So at the very least we have to watch out for some widespread flooding on local roads. The usual trouble spots for a morning commute will have most of its rain kind of taper off, but it'll still have a few showers along the way. The wind will knock off the rain by mid-morning, but it's gonna stay breezy all day Monday, the rest of the work week is dry.
