President Joe Biden announced Thursday that he's deploying medical teams to six states, including New York starting next week.
The plan is to help overwhelmed medical facilities ease staff shortages.
Biden also is planning to hand out higher-grade medical masks to prevent workers from getting infected with the more contagious Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
