The Biden administration is planning to expand its monkeypox vaccine distribution.
White House officials say they have locked in a $20 million deal with drug distribution company AmerisourceBergen that will expand the delivery of vaccines and treatments nationwide.
The United States has already shipped out about 800,000 doses of the two-shot vaccine.
The new contract will allow for up to 25,000 shipments per week.
There are currently more than 33,000 monkeypox cases statewide. Forty-four are in Nassau and 55 are in Suffolk.
