The Best of New Jersey team visited one of the Garden State’s true diner gems Tuesday morning.
Tops Diner has been around since the 1940s, but it’s beautiful, modern dining room and kitchen have only been around for a few years.
News 12 New Jersey’s Tony Caputo enjoyed the chicken and waffles dish.
“It’s definitely a meal where it’s filling, but we hand batter it ourselves. It’s pressure fried, juicy,” said Jimmy Golemis, the owner of Tops Diner.
There is usually a long line outside the spacious dining area at Tops Diner. On weekends, it’s best to call ahead and make a reservation.
