7h agoWestport is mourning the loss of a longtime teacher who passed away this month after a long illness.
Kristin Beirne, a Staples High School graduate, spent more than 20 years at Bedford Middle School.
She was also a respected coach, inducted into the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2015.
Beirne was 47 years old.
