Streets of Bay Shore will be filled with plenty of fun, lots of green this weekend. It all kicks off tomorrow at their Saint Patrick's Day parade in Bay Shore. And this morning we're getting an early look at all of the excitement that's going to be happening. Our Jen Selig is there previewing everything we can expect. Hey Jen. Hey, and this is the ending mark where the parade will finish up here on Main Street. We have St. Patrick, we have Phil Boyle, we have Jody McNulty, and look at your sash. It's an honor to be Grand Marshal this year, right Phil? It certainly is. I've probably marched on 100 Saint Patrick's Day parade. First time I'm Grand Marshall. It's quite an honor, particularly here in Bayshore. It's a great parade. Everyone's talking about this parade in particular. Because you guys go so hard with it. Oh, the energy is amazing, and I think this is going to be the biggest of all. I think 17 different bands, students, a lot of fire trucks. Jake's Casino is going to be there, of course, with our float. It's a lot of energy. People should come out. What are you looking forward to the most? Oh, just a celebration of all things Irish and with friends like Jody and all the Irish folks, even if you're Italian or any other nationality tomorrow, Irish. The parade and Jodi, this is the time of the year where you're probably busy the most. What are you looking forward to? I'm looking forward to the people. We're going to put 25,000 people on Main Street to be sure, and just the energy and the people coming, celebrating. It's just a wonderful thing. Just, just walking down Main Street, saying hello to everybody there, yelling and screaming, it's wonderful. I've seen videos in the past and the kids are so cute, all decked out in green. Yes, yes, yes, and the floats, we have 5 divisions, the pipe bands. I can't say it's wonderful. We're just praying for great weather that's all we need. That's the final thing is the weather. So hopefully you guys have a great time. I hope I hope Rich Hoffman puts a good word in for us and pulls through. Absolutely, and Alex Kelum is filling in for him as well, so give us the good news, and we are in Bay Shore Suffolk County.

All right, Irish eyes will be smiling this weekend in Bayshore. Yep, tomorrow is their annual Saint Patrick's Day parade, and this morning we are getting a preview of everything you can expect if you're going to head there this year. Our Jen Selig is there with more. Jen, what's going on? Hey, we are on Main Street where the parade will be taking place down the road here with me. I have Eddie Frazier. You are the chamber, Chamber of commerce president, and we got a lot ahead for us for tomorrow. Despite the windy conditions today, we're hoping for better weather tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow we're going to have a great day, looking for a little sun in the afternoon. Last few years we had some rain, but We, uh, this year we're really looking for a great day. It's going to be a really exciting day in Bay Shore. The parade has been going on since 2001 for a very long time, and we know folks from all over the island come over to celebrate Irish or not. Absolutely. So we always say that that old adage of everybody's Irish on St. Patty's Day. So we're going to have a great day with everybody. People come from all over for this parade. If it's a really nice day, it could be up to 20,000 people downtown here. Wow. So what can folks? Expect when they come here tomorrow. The parade kicks off at 22 o'clock, yeah, expect lots of fun, lots of Irish heritage, really people out here, you know, celebrating their heritage, you know, just making it a fun day for all. Everybody's, you know, being safe and enjoying the entire day. We have amazing restaurants in the downtown. We have, uh, you know, Kismet Coffee, which Jackson over Kismet Coffee serving coffee tomorrow. We have, you know, uh, the Coastal Verde Group, you know, the restaurants there that do amazing, amazing. Stuff at their places Naperandi, so we have a lot of different great places that really are going to be serving it up for the town tomorrow. So tomorrow's gonna be a lot of fun. I mean, who doesn't love downtown Bay Shore? There's everything here. So we're gonna be speaking with some local businesses just to see the impact of what this parade is going to bring us. Irish eyes will be smiling this weekend in Bay Shore. Well, Tomorrow is the Saint Patrick's Day parade there, and this morning we're getting a preview of everything you can expect. Our Jen Selig has been along Main Street in Bay Shore all morning long now. Jen, where are you now? We are here at St. Patrick's School, where what are you guys excited for? And is it happening? And these students take it seriously. This trophy is here to prove it. Christine, you're the principal of the school, and what, 2 years in a row you guys won best float. 2 years in a row now we have won best float. We are hoping to get the trophy again this year as we have a very special honoree. One of our alumni passed away in October, and we want to honor her and her great legacy working for Disney and being a part of the. Brightwater's parade committee. So that's what our pink ribbons are for. Pink was her favorite color, and we hope to honor her and her having the true shamrock spirit that we want all of our shamrocks to have who graduate from St. Patrick's School. Absolutely. And this is something I think the kids look forward to, right, all year round. Absolutely. We look forward to marching all year round. We have almost our whole school community come. We start with mass at the church, and it's just a Really important day for us to really celebrate our feast day with the wider community. Of course we do things internally as a school, but to have the opportunity for the larger Bay Shore area to honor our patron saint and our Irish heritage is just really important to us. I love it so much. Are you Vince? Yep, and you're in 2nd grade, buddy. Yeah. And what are you most excited for for tomorrow? I get to march in the parade. Absolutely, and you get to see. So many people, right, which overall being with your friends here, what's the best part about waking up to go to the parade? You get to wear green and everybody's clapping for you. Absolutely, Irish or not. You can come down here. The parade starts at 2 o'clock. There are some road closures. We have it all listed on our website at news12.com and come out.
