Tenants at a Bay Shore apartment complex Wednesday were greeted with an unpleasant surprise.Residents of the Bay Shore Gardens complex found raw sewage pouring out into the parking lot. Mixed in with the cloudy liquid, according to tenant Sharon Costello, were toilet paper and feces. Costello, who is in the process of being evicted, said the landlord, Louis Rotundi, was aware of the situation and insisted she was behind it. Other tenants that spoke with News 12 Long Island said they were pleased with Rotundi and were confident he would take care of the problem. The landlord was at the complex Thursday as crews began to clean up the mess. He said he was investigating the problem and would make sure it didn't happen again.Rotundi was issued a violation for discharge of hazardous material and a warning for mold found in the basement.
