Parts of Patchogue were left underwater on Wednesday following the most recent storm, and officials are worried about more wet weather on the way tonight.

Patchogue officials say this is the worst they have seen the flooding since Sandy and are preparing for the next round of storms.

Department of Public Works crews are going around and checking to see if drains are clogged.

All of the barricades are still up from Wednesday’s storm ready to block off southern Patchogue to everyone except the people who live there.

The Patchogue Fire Department has its rescue truck ready to go. The department had it out on the streets on Wednesday responding to calls and checking on the people who live there.

Village officials are reminding people to move cars to higher ground ahead of tonight’s storm and to stay inside if you can.
