Police are investigating a bank robbery attempt that did not go as planned in Merrick.
Police say a man walked into TD bank on Merrick Road Thursday evening and handed the teller a note.
However, according to police, the teller tore the note up and threw it in the garbage.
The man took off with no money.
During the incident, five employees and two customers were present. No injuries were reported.
