A group of Babylon churches is asking private youth sports leagues to stop scheduling practices and games on Sunday.
Church officials say the sports are interfering with Sunday Schools and lowering church attendance, and say they are concerned with the moral fiber of society as a result. John Fredericks, president of the Babylon Village Youth Lacrosse Club, says limited time and field availability often makes Sunday practices unavoidable. He says everyone is fighting for your child?s time.
