A Queens man is accused of posing as a 14-year-old girl online to trick young boys, including some from Long Island, into sending him pornographic pictures and videos of themselves.
Authorities say Kevin Rizo, of Flushing, used Instagram to contact his potential victims. Using names such as Alyssa and Ally, he allegedly pretended to be a 14-year-old girl and asked boys to send him explicit pictures and videos.
When they did, Rizo allegedly threatened to tell the victim's family and friends about it unless they sent more.
The indictment involves seven victims, but at Rizzo's arraignment, the prosecutor said there could be as many as 50 others.
Authorities say at least two of Rizzo's victims are from Nassau. Their investigation began several months ago after getting a tip from a parent.
Rizzo is being held without bail.
