yesterdayAn Old Bethpage man is facing charges after authorities say he assaulted several police officers while resisting arrest on Saturday afternoon.
Police say they responded to a home on Simpson Drive because 39-year-old Daniel Blustein was verbally threatening a 66-year-old woman.
Blustein violently resisted arrest and hurt two officers, according to authorities.
Police say the two officers were sent to the hospital for treatment and are expected to be OK.
Blustein is set to face a judge on Sunday, according to authorities.
