Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, were dismantling on Friday what officials say was a drug lab operating out of a Mastic home.

Federal officials say Joseph Guida, a New York City Department of Environmental Protection employee, was arrested and held without bail.

Law enforcement officials say they first found drugs inside the Roda Drive home on Thursday night. On Friday, hazmat crews were combing through the house. Homeland Security officials said they planned on staying at the home into the night, removing chemicals from it.

"We found some narcotics, we found a lot of chemicals," says Jason Molina, of Homeland Security Investigations.

Reports say ecstasy and hydroponic marijuana were found inside.

Neighbors say they're unfamiliar with whoever lives there.

"That place has always been kind of a mystery in the past," says Miguel Arcacha. "We would go sometimes trick-or-treating on Halloween, and there wouldn't be anybody over there."  

Homeland Security agents say an ongoing investigation led them to the house.
