A police officer was airlifted to the hospital after a serious crash in North Babylon Friday.
Stunning images show the scene around 2 p.m. Friday, where police say things began when a vehicle driving on Woods Road collided with a marked police vehicle.
The vehicle then barreled into a home on Elkton Lane and caught fire, which spread to the house, authorities say.
The officer was airlifted to a hospital, but their injuries weren't considered life-threatening.
The driver also went to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
