A Long Island lawmaker says the state's new green light law that allows undocumented immigrants to apply for driver licenses is putting New York and the country at risk.

Assemblyman Mike LiPetri is introducing new legislation that would allow federal authorities, including ICE, access to DMV records of undocumented immigrants.
Currently federal agencies don't have access to this information.

The law would force the DMV to share the immigration status of applicants with agencies such as ICE.
"State and federal agencies must work together to root out MS-13 from our neighborhood and future terror plot. The new law in New York shields violent gangs and the evils of terror. This ends now," said LiPetri.

LiPetri also has introduced a bill that would make it a felony for an undocumented immigrant or non-citizen to use a DMV form to register to vote.
