The Town of Huntington hosted its first Army-Navy football game Saturday at Harborfields High School in Greenlawn.
The town plans to continue hosting the game annually in remembrance of Fred Amore, of East Northport.
Amore was a Vietnam veteran, Purple Heart recipient and was the longest serving commander of VFW Post #9263 of Elwood/Commack.
The match-up featured the Harborfields High School Tornadoes representing the Army, facing off against the Deer Park High School Falcons representing the Navy.
