Appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations at multiple locations on Long Island that were set for Sunday are being postponed due to the snowstorm.
Vaccine appointments that were scheduled at Nassau's two county Department of Health-operated sites will be rescheduled, County Executive Laura Curran announced.
The affected appointments were scheduled for Sunday at the Yes We Can Community Center in Westbury and at Nassau Community College.
All of the appointments will be rescheduled for Tuesday evening. If a person is unable to make it that evening, Curran says the county will work with the individual to find a time that works.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo also announced the rescheduling of appointments at state-run vaccination sites at SUNY Stony Brook and Jones Beach. Both will be closed Sunday and appointments will be rescheduled "over the following seven days."
