The Hate Crimes Unit of the Suffolk County Police Department is investigating anti-Hispanic notes that were found inside a Patchogue church.
The pastor of Iglesia Evangelica Church on South Railroad Avenue says someone broke into the church Tuesday night and three left notes on the altar. One read, "Hispanics don?t rule, white rule" in Spanish. Another said, ?Pastor Roberto, you don?t rule here, we rule here.?
Pastor Roberto Sanchez says whoever left the notes broke a window to get into the church.
?I know everybody has freedom of expression ? but the fact that they left a note in a place we pray, it makes me feel sad,? says Sanchez?s son Carlos.
