A Farmingville man who killed an off-duty Suffolk corrections officer is appealing his conviction.

Attorneys for Anthony Oddone told the state Court of Appeals that their client didn't get a fair trial.

Oddone was convicted of manslaughter in 2008 after putting Andrew Reister in a deadly chokehold during a fight at the Southampton Publick House. Reister was moonlighting as a bouncer at the time.

Oddone's lawyers now claim that there was false testimony and juror misconduct at his first trial.
