Islanders forward Anthony Beauvillier celebrated this Christmas by shooting his shot on Twitter.
He tweeted at actress Anna Kendrick "hi" and then found out he has more wingmen than he thought.
Fans responded to the tweet trying to help his cause talking him up. Tweets told tall tales of Beauvillier saving lives, donating organs, paying rent and even tutoring one fan in quantum field theory. Even former Islanders defenseman Bruno Gervais got in on the fun, saying Beau had saved him from a burning building, cooked him a seven-course meal and taught him eight languages on one great day.
Kendrick responded Thursday, saying the replies had been entertaining her and thanking the responders for "regaling" her with "the true tales of this man's heroism."
