A scare for some residents in Middle Island.
News 12 received numerous calls Saturday afternoon about police investigating near the Lake Pointe Cooperative Complex.
News 12 is told a worker discovered what was feared to be body parts.
However, it turned out to be the remains of a groundhog.
Apparently the animal had entered a plumbing drain through an open cap, and died.
