Amtrak signal issues in one of the East River rail tunnels caused cancellations on some Long Island Rail Road lines.
The impacted lines include the City Terminal Zone, as well as the Babylon, Port Washington and Ronkonkoma branches.
Riders are advised that some delays are also expected while the issues are repaired.
Riders should check the MTA’s website for service information.
Amtrak released the following statement: "This is not weather related, but the cause of the signal issue is still to be determined. Right now, we are only seeing 10-15 minutes of delays. Repairs are underway."
