(10/13/06) AMITYVILLE ? Police are baffled after a single mother was found shot to death in the shower at her Amityville apartment Friday.

A roommate found 31-year-old Wendy Reyes? body in their Overland Avenue basement apartment. Police say Reyes lived with her daughter, 13, and roommate and had clothes laid out on the bed, apparently preparing to go to work. Reyes was shot several times, according to police, but they say additional clues are scarce. With no sign of forced entry, police say they are unsure whether the victim knew her attacker.
