A car crash left one man dead early Sunday morning after he reportedly got into an argument with the car?s driver.
Police say 27-year-old Traron Daniels and his girlfriend, who was driving, were arguing when the car veered off Sunrise Highway, struck a fence and rolled over around 1:30 a.m.
?At some point the male passenger reaches over and grabs the wheel,? Det. Sgt. Robert Koerber of the Suffolk County Police Department said. ?The vehicle goes out of control and subsequently goes off the road.?
According to police, Daniels was trapped in the car and died at the scene. The driver and her 4-year-old son, who was in a rear car seat, were rescued by a passerby, Kenneth Colwell. Colwell is a Hamptons Coach cab driver, and he saw the accident happen.
The driver and her son were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
