Alleged Bloods gang member faces conspiracy charges for ordering violence across LI while already in prison

Prosecutors say Latique Johnson ordered "Bloodhound Brims" members to carry out armed robberies, shootings and other crimes in Nassau and Suffolk counties while he was in a California federal prison.

An alleged Bloods gang member was charged Thursday with ordering violence across Long Island while he was in prison.
Latique Johnson was arraigned on conspiracy charges. Prosecutors say he ordered "Bloodhound Brims" members to carry out armed robberies, shootings and other crimes in Nassau and Suffolk counties while he was in a California federal prison.
Johnson was extradited to face charges in Suffolk County. He was held on $5 million bail.
If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
