A chemical spill at a Lowe?s home improvement store in Medford Tuesday forced several customers to seek medical treatment.
Officials would only say that there was a muriatic acid spill at the store. Muriatic acid is also known as hydrochloric acid, a substance used in pools.
Several customers reported having trouble breathing after the spill. At least two were sent to the hospital, while at least seven were treated on the scene by medical personnel.
The store was roped off immediately after the spill. It was given an all clear to reopen about an hour later.
