The Queens man accused in the botched hold-up at the Roosevelt Field Mall last month is facing additional charges.
Oliver Lee pleaded not guilty to a 10-count grand jury indictment Friday afternoon. The charges include robbery, assault, weapon possession and drug possession.
Lee allegedly tried to rob watch retailer Tourneau just days before Christmas. Investigators say his gun went off during a struggle with a security guard. A mall employee was shot in the shoulder.
Lee's attorney says his client is an addict and needs help.
"My client is in a very difficult situation. He became addicted to drugs as a result of pain issues that he was having because of an injury," said attorney Steve Raiser.
Raiser is asking for Lee to be released so he can seek treatment.
Lee is being held on $750,000 bail.
