An abandoned house went up in flames Tuesday morning in Bellport.
Multiple crews responded to the home on Montauk Highway and were able to get the fire under control in about an hour.
The Bellport fire chief tells News 12 the frigid conditions made it more difficult than usual.
"It's definitely a challenge with the icy conditions as you're fighting the fire and worried about slipping," said Chief Jason Crane.
One person was taken to the hospital for burns to their hands and face.
No other injuries were reported. It wasn’t immediately clear how it started.
