A Brooklyn treatment center is showcasing its successes in using applied behavioral analysis to help children who are on the spectrum.

‘A Friendly Face’ is part of a chain of four locations in the tri-state area that helps kids who need help to change with their behavior.

"Any milestone is a huge happiness for parent of kid with autism,” said Daryna Androsova, mother of 9-year-old Yehor, who started treatment at A Friendly Face four years ago. "The earlier you know your child is on the spectrum and the earlier you get therapy, the more effective that therapy is."

A Friendly Face clinical director Anna Marie Dorelien tells News 12 they’ve been seeing results.

"We've had kids that came in, no words, totally nonverbal,” she said. “But now they're starting to speak and say a few words here and there and its very rewarding."
