An 83-year-old man from Riverside was arrested for operating a walk-up narcotics service from his home.

John Woods’ arrest stems from a search warrant executed by the Southampton Town Police Department Emergency Services Unit after an extensive investigation, according to police.

Police received numerous complaints from the community about high volumes of foot traffic and drug use in the area.

Woods was arrested on Dec. 5 around 11 a.m.

Woods is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a substance, which are both felonies.
