80% of countries expected to be added to the federal 'do not travel' list due to COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also recommends delaying international travel until you are fully vaccinated.

The State Department says it's updating its 'do not travel list' because of COVID-19 infection rates.
Eighty percent of countries worldwide are expected to be added to the list.
"As people move around it makes it easier to transmit this virus so by limiting that it'll reduce the spread of the virus," says Dr. Lance Becker, chair of Emergency Medicine at Northwell Health. "It also protects the person from being in an environment that may not be as healthy as it should be."
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also recommends delaying international travel until you are fully vaccinated.
