A man is recovering from a dog attack in Nassau County.
The 74-year-old victim was bitten on his neck in Valley Stream, according to police.
The incident happened at a home on Verona Place around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Detectives tell News 12 the man suffered a laceration and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
He is currently listed in stable condition.
The dog did not belong to the man who was attacked, Nassau police say.
Town of Hempstead Animal Control responded to the scene.
