A 7-year-old girl from Aquebogue Elementary School was surprised with a holiday shopping spree.

NYPD Counterterrorism Officer Capursi, K9 Hugh, and the widow of fallen NYPD Detective Brian Simonsen, of Calverton, met Valery and her mom Ana on Tuesday and took her shopping at Target.

Ana and Valery have gone through some tough times after a tree fell on their home during a storm a few weeks ago.

The Detectives' Endowment Association says, "We hope this brightens their holidays."

The outing was also made possible by the Simonsen Foundation, Blue Lives Matter, K9 and the Alvarez family.
