Seven people have been indicted in a scam involving testing at the Garden City DMV.
The Nassau District Attorney’s Office indicted seven people for handing out commercial vehicle licenses to people who never took the test.
The office says the ring of employees allowed Jamie Middleton, who would wear disguises, to take the CDL exam for 10 different applicants.
News 12 has been told one of the applicants drove recycling trucks in the Town of Hempstead. Another was convicted of vehicular assault.
The office says Middleton’s sister is the supervisor of the DMV.
This is a developing story.
