The answer sheets for 53 students who took the ACT exam at Roslyn High School in October are currently missing, worrying parents and students who need the results to apply for colleges.
According to a statement from an ACT representative, the organization worked with a courier service to track the missing materials and conducted an extensive search of their test center.
"We are taking every possible step to locate the answer sheets and are hopeful that they will be found soon," the statement says.
The statement also says that ACT has set up a special retest date for Jan. 14 at Roslyn High School, in the event that tests are not located. All students will receive a refund of their October registration fee.
"ACT sincerely regrets any inconveniences that students and their parents may be experiencing as a result of this unfortunate situation," the statement said.
Roslyn School District says a total of 258 students from various school districts took the exam in October. The district was informed by the ACT test coordinator that all proper protocols were followed on site.
