Five teenage girls were injured when a drunken driver plowed into their car in Deer Park Thursday night, Suffolk police say.
The accident happened before the roads became covered in inches of snow with Friday?s storm. Police say the driver, Eric Brock, of North Bay Shore, was speeding at the time. Brock swerved his Corvette into oncoming traffic and hit the girls? car, police say.
Brock suffered minor injuries, as did the driver of the other car, Allyson Parente, 17, and two of her passengers. Two other passengers were admitted to the hospital.
Police say Brock had no other drunken driving arrests. He was arraigned Friday and is being held on $25,000 bail.
On Tuesday, a crash in Medford also involved a car full of teenagers and a drunken driver. Police say the driver was charged with driving while impaired by drugs and had a history of drunken-driving and drug arrests. The crash landed several in the hospital and one teen died Friday afternoon.
