Five young people from Elmont are accused of going on a 12-hour robbery crime spree.
The suspects, two boys and three girls, allegedly started Friday night in Valley Stream on West Valley Stream Boulevard, where they stole a man's bag and cell phone.
The group next allegedly stole a woman's cell phone and camera in Garden City. Police say the suspects then robbed a man on Merrick Road in Valley Stream and a woman on Kingston Street in Elmont.
The group then allegedly took a man's wallet on the Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont near a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins.
Authorities say a description of the Nissan the suspects were driving led to their arrests in Elmont. Officers say they found a BB gun, pellet gun and stun gun in the vehicle.
Francis Metellus, Kemar Moore, Melissa Joseph, Tiffany DeWalker and Monique White are charged with robbery. Metellus is also charged with criminal mischief for allegedly kicking out the back window of a police car during his arrest.
The suspects pleaded not guilty at their arraignment.
