Five Boy Scouts were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after they were struck by an alleged drunken driver in Manorville.
It happened on David Terry Road around 1:55 p.m. Police say the Scouts were walking on the shoulder of the road when they were struck by Thomas Murphy, of Holbrook.
The five boys, who are between 12 and 16 years old, were taken the hospital. Police say one of them is in serious condition.
Their identities have not been released.
Murphy is being charged with DWI. He is being held overnight at the 7th Precinct.
The 59-year-old will be arraigned on Monday.
