Saturday marks four years since Superstorm Sandy made landfall on Long Island, and many residents are still recovering.
On Oct. 29, 2012, the storm knocked out power, flooded homes and caused millions of dollars in damage.
In South Shore towns like Lindenhurst, homes are still being renovated and raised.
Residents say several feet of water flooded streets and destroyed some homes.
"Three years later, New York Rising decided to come through and decided to help us lift the house," says resident Cindy Farley. "We're officially up so hopefully if there is another storm, I'm safe."
