4 Nassau hospitals receive $1M for COVID-19 related expenses

The money is part of the $133 million in federal funding given to the town through the CARES Act passed by Congress.

The Town of Hempstead has announced that four Nassau hospitals are getting $1 million each.
The money is part of the $133 million in federal funding given to the town through the CARES Act passed by Congress.
The hospitals receiving the money include Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Valley Stream and Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre.
The hospitals will use it to cover the costs of things like ICU beds, PPE, first responder testing and other COVID-related expenses.
