Four Long Island public high schools are national Blue Ribbon award winners.
The highly performing schools include W.T. Clarke High School in East Meadow, John Glenn High School in Elwood, South Side High School in Rockville Centre and Sayville High School.
The announcement was made by the federal Department Of Education and listed 300 public schools and 49 private schools nationwide.
