Police are searching for three people they say stole thousands of dollars worth of hand bags in Manhasset.

Detectives say a man and two women walked in to Versace on Northern Boulevard and stole bags, and ran out of the store without paying.

Officials say the bags have an estimated value of $24,000.

News 12 has been told the trio took off in a Nissan Altima registered in New Jersey.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
