Authorities say three men are facing charges for allegedly poaching more than 100,000 horseshoe crabs.

Officers from the Department of Environmental Conservation say they saw a skiff with no navigation lights on in the Great South Bay. When they stopped the boat they noticed a number of crabs were on board. They also say the DEC crew found another vessel that did not have the proper permits later.

Authorites say the bayman of the boat had no license.

The men were arrested last month on the Great South Bay.
