Three Long Island schools are earning high marks from the U.S. Education Department.
The schools have been honored with Blue Ribbon status.
The schools are:
- George A. Jackson Elementary in Jericho
- Denton Avenue Elementary in the Herricks School District
- The Amangansett School
Only 353 schools across the country earned the same honor.
