A car barreled into the front of a Suffolk pizzeria Sunday, sending three people to the hospital.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. at Giovanni's Pizzeria in West Babylon, at the intersection of Herzel Boulevard and Little East Neck Road.
Police say a 66-year-old woman hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes in her vehicle, sending the car straight into the restaurant.
An employee and two customers were taken to the hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The owner tells News 12 that the car was seen speeding on Herzel Boulevard before the crash. He says it's not the first time a vehicle has come barreling toward his building.
"It could have killed somebody, that's why I was worried -- if I had customers sitting down they would have been gone," says owner Giovanni Palazzolo.
The driver, whose identity wasn't released, refused medical attention, fire officials say.
There's no word on whether she could face charges in connection with the incident.
