2nd arrest made in 2023 fatal Patchogue hit-and-run
Jesus Matute was arrested for hitting Nicholas Puzio, of Farmingville, in March 2023. A second driver, Elian Jurado-Zavala, was arrested last year.

A second arrest has been made in a fatal hit-and-run in Patchogue.
Jesus Matute was arrested for hitting Nicholas Puzio, of Farmingville, in March 2023. A second driver, Elian Jurado-Zavala, was arrested last year.
Police say the drivers hit Puzio just one minute apart.
Puzio's death prompted legislators to introduce "Nick's Law," which would increase penalties for drivers in fatal hit-and-run crashes.
