A 57-year-old Brentwood man is accused of raping a 15-year-old he knew was underage and trafficking her for sex over an approximate two-year period, according to Suffolk County police.
Police said Luis Parada was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the Human Trafficking Investigations Unit after they were informed about two weeks ago that a teenage girl might be being trafficked at 4 MacArthur Ave. in Brentwood.
Authorities say Parada raped the girl and arranged for local men to pay him in exchange for sex with her.
The girl is now 17-years-old. Detectives are investigating whether narcotics were also involved.
During the execution of a search warrant, detectives seized a 1987 Winnebago, 22 cellphones, a replica firearm, a machete, electronic devices and other forensic evidence, according to police.
Parada is charged with rape, sex trafficking of a minor and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Two other men were also arrested during the search of the Brentwood home. Rigoberto Celisgarcia, 48, and Amado Campos, 59, were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Parada is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
Celisgarcia and Campos were issued desk appearance tickets and will be arraigned at a later date.
